ROLE DESCRIPTION
IM's Office of the COO seeks a Vice President to manage key divisional functions and processes across the business. Areas of focus include, but may not be limited to:
• Internal Communications
• Financial Planning & Analysis
• Policy compliance and administration
• Process development and implementation
• Data analysis, model development & reporting
• Project management
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
• Serve as divisional liaison to key constituencies -- including IM employees and management, Compliance, Corporate Communications, Finance, Human Resources, and Re-Engineering & Expense Management - with respect to related functions & processes
• Key member of Investment Management Internal Communications team. Responsible for daily intranet site development, maintenance & publishing, weekly newsletter & e-mail distribution, content coordination & collaboration with IM & Firm communicators.
• Partner with senior management & Finance to produce financial reporting related to non-compensation expenses; analyzing budget variances, identify opportunities, and providing forward-looking projections.
• Manage global compliance with the Firm's Mandatory Vacation Policy; key elements include eligibility review, systems & data management, BU reporting & communication, and exceptions / violations management
• Manage and execute select cross-functional projects, including business integration, growth opportunities and Firm-related initiatives
• For related disciplines, perform quantitative data analyses using multiple, complex data sources; manipulate data and summarize into meaningful deliverables
• Oversee the on-boarding process, and on-going administrative requirements, for IM's global contingent labor population (e.g., external workers, contingents & contractors)
• Review and approve procurement requisitions on a global basis (e.g., software, mobile, office supplies); facilitate vendor invoice submissions for related functions/processes
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in Financial Services
• Strong project & relationship management skills; sound judgment
• Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Highly process and detail oriented with strong analytical/problem solving skills
• Proven ability to work & prioritize independently; proactively manage complex problems with limited guidance
• Expert in Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel data manipulation, advanced formulas, pivot tables; PowerPoint)
Wage Transparency Statement
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $125,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
